Been a long couple days and I look it. Came home, put on my favorite hat and fired up a stogie.
Been fiddling around with the fit and I think it’s there. Sure is comfortable at the moment.
PB Shady Oaks Banker Special 100, revamped to my specs by Mike Miller. Took forever, but he did a great job. I pinched the front a little deeper and lengthened it to a little past center. Crown is soft. Very receptive to manipulation.
Feeling a little better already.

What a beautiful hat. Can we see the interior?

My first really cold and wet day of autumn. Or as they call it here in Wyoming - high summer.

And wouldn't you know it, my heater goes out.

I can't run without a defrost, so I'm waiting on the shop to open.

The Gannon beaver is keeping me warm and dry.

Meanwhile, the locals are still running around in shorts. :D

Stay safe out there friends.

Be safe out there, Nathan, and roll on ‘til you get back home! Good to see that Gannon doing it’s job!

This Borsalino had been lost in a box, marked with a sticky note bearing the name of a prospective buyer—someone who has since vanished into the vastness of the world.
Mogano Borsalino Pelo D.jpg

There were two others, also by the same brand, which I restored after years of neglect.
This is a "Mahogany" (Mogano) Borsalino, featuring a long-nap felt finish.
Mogano Borsalino Pelo A.jpg
While it wasn't crafted during Borsalino’s "golden age," it is—as you can see—of excellent workmanship and quality. It is unlined, making it lightweight with a medium-weight feel.
Mogano Borsalino Pelo C.jpg
Whenever I come across these semi-modern Borsalinos, I find myself asking: who actually made the felt?
The hat’s color was chosen to evoke the hues of autumn leaves.
Thank you all for the likes and kind comments regarding the "Western" style hat.
Have a wonderful day, and keep sharing the great hats—I look forward to seeing more!
