This morning I went with one of the newest additions to my collection. Stetson 3X with Vita-Felt process. The felt on this hat is remarkably soft and pliable. The lavender color felt goes well with the lavender brim binding and 1" silver grey ribbon. 2 7/"8" brim with 4 1/2" crown as shown.

I’ve just returned from the tobacconist’s shop that also handles parcel deliveries for various couriers.
The contents are excellent—and plentiful, too, with options for both large and small sizes.

I thought it might be fun to turn this into a little game centered on hats: who made them, where do they come from, and how did they end up on our heads? The challenge is: who crafted this hat?

I believe this is only the second time in my life that I’ve worn a hat of this particular make.
The first was back in the early seventies—bought by a friend who was absolutely captivated by the Marlboro advertisements—which was very similar: cream-colored, with a brim shaped just like this one.
And now, this Western-style (or similar) hat has arrived.

Go ahead—make your guesses as to who might have made it and brought it to Italy.
As for the prize? We’ll discuss that once the mystery is solved :)
I have a similar hat I can not bring myself to do anything with. Needs brushing & shaping. Not as longhair as your’s.

Reminds me of Raggae Cowboy days.

Thanks. I have found a job posting for a 100 ton Captain driving river boats… So I hope to find something to do. Maybe I'll have to take up guitar or banjo!
I would suggest guitar 6 string, of course with the banjo you can use a different style of pick on your finger tips, either one would work for the area that you are moving to. However if your job will be to captain a riverboat, go with the banjo. 100 ton river boat, are you talking paddle wheel?
