Great ensemble! I’m curious to know if the name of the hat, Mason, was named after an individual, or is it a nod to the fraternal organization of Free and Accepted Masons?View attachment 812386
The Mason hat was made by the Susquehana Hat Co., who are no more. They were bought up by Gamble & Gu-nn. Do you recognise my bow tie? There's a matching Aloha shirt. Tina made the tie from the shirt's offcut.
Would you believe that Sus quehanna named their hats after Abbott & Costello characters. Look up The "Susquehanna Hat Company" sketch, also famously known as the "Bagel Street" or "Flugel Street" routine.Great ensemble! Very nice, Josh!
I’ll check that out this evening. I watched a little Abbot & Costello as lad but don’t remember much except the ever popular “Who’s On First” skit.Would you believe that Sus quehanna named their hats after Abbott & Costello characters. Look up The "Susquehanna Hat Company" sketch, also famously known as the "Bagel Street" or "Flugel Street" routine.
The routine weaves together a fictional business, the comedic destruction of various hats including fedoras, and the duo's signature slapstick timing.
Thank you Mark, I passed your comment onto my lady, the maker of my bow-tie.Sartorially stunning, as always, Robert!
Nice’n, Timmy!Stetson Bantam Air Light is doing it for me today. Late 30's or early 40's with Lot #7102. Until this one came to me I had never laid eyes on a Stetson size tag like this. TREMENDOUS
Thank you for the notes and likes on this one. Some old timers might remember that this old Boss was completely restored by one of our long time members and then gifted to me by another. It has a special place in my hat room - I think of them both every time I put it on.Absolutely magnificent hat, Alan!!!!
Thank ya sir !Nice’n, Timmy!
Thanks Rick. Not too many tales from the road for me these days. The company I run for is mostly a Midwest company and that makes for mighty dull driving. The pay is great, though, and that's top priority right now, so I won't complain. Sure would love a load to carry me out west over the mountains, though!Stay safe and keep it between the ditches.... Look forward to tales from the road when you can
Thanks Jeff!Until next time. Safe travels.

Nice one Charlie. The colors at the pond are close to peaked. Glad I could be here for it this year.
To keep with the earthy sense of Autumn, here’s a Borsalino Alessandra thin ribbon today.
