Out back today with a radial arm saw, air nailer and a Hemp Stratoliner making some man- glitter (sawdust) and pretending to be a carpenter. Replacing some rotted boards and trim out on the patio. Little bit of caulk, paint and plywood, and soon no one will know I was in there.

The Hemp holds up pretty well when you climb up a ladder and back into the moving ceiling fan lol. A brim really helps keep sawdust out of the eyes when working overhead.

Got a couple more hours to go today.... taking an A/C and rum break inside for a bit. heat index 103 right now and really humid.

Brüder Böhm "Lido" possibly later 1930s. This is a stiffer Soft Felt Hat that is very light in weight / 100 grams. The Form was popular in the time period and place. This hat was part of my May 2016 NOS Czech find.

External B. B. Size Tag that was on this Soft Felt. The bottom of the discolored portion was folded 90 degrees and slid under the bottom of the Band/Ribbon.

My 2016 NOS Czech find also included this B. B. Hat Holder.

Stefan, Thanks! Great observation! I have a couple Mayser sold by Ernst Köln that have the same emblem.
Gorgeous hat, Steve. Certainly looks like a German hat. Panizza had a trademark called Panfilo. Edit: I knew I had seen that little emblem before. It is a Mayser. I have a Mayser Alster with the same emblem: View attachment 798621
I'm sure, the small Top hat with the crown is indeed the Logo of Ernst - Köln
and has nothing, or at least not primarily, to do with the manufacturer. Here are two examples with the combination of Ernst and the Logo - but without a connection to Mayser:

However, we do indeed have many Mayser hats that were sold by Ernst and bear the logo on the front. Ernst was a top outfitter and sold very high-quality hats, hence the many Mayser hats. There may even have been an exclusive contract for some product lines, as we are also familiar with the inscription "Custom-made for Ernst, Cologne".

Here is my example:

Sunday morning greetings. Giving a little head time to a nice older 3x beaver Stetson this morning. I love the taller crowns on these way better than the more modern shorter hats. Keeps the felt off of the top of my noggin.
