It's been hotter than a fresh out of the oven cornbread skillet down here at Rock Bottom so I've been wearing my straw hats here lately. Para Panama by American Hat Company in Houston, Texas is my choice for this morning.

Im on the Greek Island Meis for a couple days. This is my "de punto en blanco" crochet Panama, a made in Equador from Toquilla straw. A friend told me when I go shopping in seaside toens in Turkey this hat gets me over charged everywhere. Maybe hes right. It looks so Cruise Ship Tourist. But Ive never seen any anybody around here whereing one of these. A few cuenca or monticristi but not these.

I like it. Its so iıght, cool, and breaths well. But if I wear a linen flatcap, Im charged more like a local, lol...Maybe if Im shopping Ill leave it in the car, lol

What do you guys think???
Does this hat Scream....Foreign Tourist....over charge Me PLEASE!!

What a lesson in style you are, Stefan. There is one hat, that's The Kevin McAndrew, I was sure we had a thread somewhere back in time, give me a minute, old age and amnesia are common bedfellows. Here it is: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/kevin-mcandrew.1144/

The hat and shirt both have a very serious covet factor.

The Gamble & Gu-nn did the honours for Sunday. Mercifully, thou shalt not covet was not today's sermon.

It’s a nice hat. Looks great on you. Even if your overcharged your still stimulating the local economy. Wear it in good health!
