Got a nice compliment from a young lady about the hat. Given she could have been my granddaughter it definitely was the hat not me but still made my day and shows a well turned out hat can turn heads.

Hats and food. Doesn't get better than that. Both of you looking good, Gary!Late to post, but Etsuko & I went out for Thai food on Tuesday. First felt hats of the season.

The food was great, as usual.

Now that's a hat style I like to see. Panizza could hold its own among the best of them if they wanted. Wonderful hat, Daniele.A very recent purchase.

I was enchanted by the shape and overall color of the hat, including the ribbon. I love monochrome hats.

Panizza Non Plus Ultra "Foulard" hat, size 60 cm.

As described on the sweatband, the felt is very light and malleable, holding its shape well.
A high-quality Panizza product, one of the rarest on the Italian market.

The felt color is "Rapallo," a town in Liguria, and the band is "Bolivia." A name often used by Italian hatmakers in the past. The felt needs further cleaning, but it still looks great.

Thank you for your comments on the Borsalino "Mascotte."
Thank you for showing me hats of every color and shape every day; they fuel my curiosity.
Everything a western style hat should be, Mark. Gorgeous!
Thanks Tim.Hard to imagine living back in the day when there were so many different hat makers with quality products available to choose from. This custom made beaver blend twenty I recently acquired is a perfect example.

Good looking pup...dogs are chicken soup for the soulSitting outside with Mr. Bear for a bit of low key trust building. ( Giving a bit of space and tossing treats occasionally) Choice of lid is a older Whippett. I managed to get a new collar on him and introduced a couple new treats. He takes treats but not by hand yet. Hes still pretty skittish so im thinking he needs a few more days to decompress. Dont think hes had any training at all... Im confident the famous Labrador food drive will help with that once we get him calmed down for a few days. He made it all night in the crate just fine.... no figeting or noise. Took him out this morning and he decided he was really hungry. Did his business just fine and got a new collar. Later today we will get a bath and turn him all white again lol ( he evidently like to lay on dirt). Hes basically a blank slate so well will have plenty to work on with a lot of patience and time. Seeing the living conditions he came from, Im sure he'll have a better life now. Hes got a few balls and a rubber frisbee that hes figured are his. Doesnt really know what to do with them yet but he'll pick something up and move it around the yard. Going to be a fun journey.

Second day wearing felt, and my top two vintage hats have already been shown. It’s all downhill from here, unfortunately.

The coffin box hats always amazed me..... maybe thats where Goodwill learned to package hats for shipment? lolBorsalino "The Rollup" for the start of the mid-term school break.
Hard to believe this one would have been rolled up and put in a Borsalino coffin box.
Have a great weekend folks!
