A Borsalino was begging to get off the wall this morning. A really lightweight Allessandria. Really comfortable wearing, but this one is so lightweight and soft ( almost TOO light and soft) that you have to be careful putting it on the head or you can put strange dents in the crown... I make myself look in the mirror before heading out the door. Its a looker though for sure.

"Are you not wearing an Aloha shirt on this glorious autumnal morning?" Tina said, looking at me all dressed up. "Dentist later," I reminded her. Our dentist could easily grace the threads of our forum.

Susquehana made my hat to measure and Tina did it justice with the trousers. Colin Johnstone made my shoes.
Sartorial perfection, as always, Robert!

Spirit and I are taking this new to me 1940s Stetson 7XCB out for a spin. Originally sold from Shudde Bros for $55. I snagged it off the bay for $75.

It has a curled 3 1/2" brim, 6" crown, 6 ply ribbon, and a Celanse yarn lining. More curl than I would normally wear, but i think it works. I had to stretch it just a bit and it needs a little cleaning.

A few months back I bought a 1936 Ford pickup and have been busy getting it where I want it. Much like these old hats, quality hotrod parts don't come cheap and that old pile of parts needed just about everything. Finally got Sally squared away and bought my first new lid in almost 3 months !!

Wow, what a return, Timmy! Great lid!

Got any photos of Sally? Throw a hat on her!

Welcome back.

Here she is in all her glory !! I fabricated the visor myself out of 22 gauge steel & 3/16" round stock. Not bad for an old hillbilly I think. Lol.
Of course I couldn't stop with just ONE hat after almost 3 months...
Here's a Sovereign Stetson Twenty in suede finish that I got for a song...only paid 40 bucks due to a couple moth nibbles that are hard to see when I'm wearing the hat so no big deal to me.
