Thanks Joe, I was going to say, "they cost enough," but that does sound boastful. I wear photochromic glasses, they darken with sunlight. My eyes, or to be precise the cornea of my eyes react to direct sunlight, hence the aviators.

I’ve enjoyed photochromic lenses on some of my glasses as I do wear them for vision. When it came to my aviators…. I didn’t care so much for how they looked on me when clear…. a bit of a Jeffrey Dahmer look I’m afraid.. especially with the docudrama that came out on him about the time I was placing my order. So I went solid dark for my aviator sunglasses and just do the ol switcharoo for now.
