Traded the backdrop of the lake for the Snoqualmie River by taking a short jaunt into town and walking down to the park. It is another gorgeous Spring day.

The 50x Beaver Hufvud Bogart in Emerald Grey was my lid of choice. This is probably my favorite hat. It is crazy comfortable and gets more compliments than my other hats. Or maybe it gets more compliments simply because I wear it more often. Hmmm...

I keep forgetting to reach out and ask if youve ever seen an Akubra Boomerang? I picked one up a couple weeks back and its got a lot of potential as a good outdoorsey hat. This ones currently sporting a bit of a western flare but Im considering doing a little bit of brim flattening. With your username, one of there would be a great fit lol

Thanks Gary! All 4 of my Hufvuds are terrific, but this is the top dog.

I think that makes us "former neighbors," Rick. I'm just south of Duvall.

No, I've not seen this model before. That's a sharp-looking hat. That looks like a nice tall crown, and I have a soft spot for medium shades of brown. That leather band suits the hat perfectly. I might have to keep my eye open for one of those.

Indeed! Been all around your area... One of my hobbies was loading up a bunch of camera gear and driving around forest service roads looking for interesting places. Slid down an icy Snoqualamie Pass many times with a speeding semi on my bumper... Fun times

This one just rolled in today. Stetson Mode Edge 3X beaver.

An early-to-mid 1950s hat, it originally came from The Heyman-Fisher Company of Hamilton, Ohio. 2 & 5/8” brim, crown is 4.25” at the front crush and 4.75” on the sides. It’s also got an oddly enchanting button of a rooster attached to the gloriously contrasty green hatband, which I’m pretty sure I’m going to leave on. :D

Awesome lid, Mr Cogburn!
When talking 40s to 50s hats it’s hard to beat the felt quality and finish of a Stetson ME.
