I get that… best not to make any whippet claims without proof. Might run afoul of the hat police. LOL. Well in my opinion… which don’t count for too much.. it appears to be a mid 1950s Stetson with blocking, styling and profile very reflective of the Whippet of that era. There is a good chance it may have once contained a Whippet liner inside. However I’ve also seen several similarly styled Stetsons of the same era with no such markings. So Whippet-ish is quite appropriate.… and certainly fits in on any Whippet Wednesday festivities as I believe that has been expanded be inclusive of both Whippet and Whippet-ish alike.

If I remember my hat physics…. Dr Max’s Third Law of Whippets. If a hat is listed on eBay. It is most definitely a “Whippet” @drmaxtejeda
Ive got what I feel is a practical outlook at hats... as much as Id love to have a wall full of Bosolinos, Whippetts and 25's, If its MINE, if its a decent felt, and if its one I really like the looks of.... its a great hat. Id rather have a nice modestly priced "great hat", than an overpriced worn out hat with a particular model name. I dont have enough money to pretend to impress anyone with a brand lol

I just enjoy older hats ....theres many a Towncraft, Resistol, Americn, Champ Or Royal Stetson on my wall

For some unknown reason or other I used to think that the colour black had a funereal image, but when Tina made a pair of period style trousers in black, the hand made black hat by The Susquehana Hat Company complimented my lady's work, perfectly. Black had more of an appeal than I had first thought.

John Perret at Fox Tailoring made the blazer and dear old friend, Colin Johnson, made the shoes. When it comes to made to measure my lady does spoil me, as the spearpoint collared shirt proves.

I have acquired a few hats over the years that were from small , lesser known hat makers but the quality of materials and construction of the hat is every bit as good as a similar Stetson from back in the day. My latest addition is another example that makes me smile every time I wear it. The felt is soft and molds easily by hand without steam. I tried using the search function here and didn't get a hit. Appears to be Ken Mearne DeLuxe Quality (could also be Ken Hearne. No search results there either). You know how those marketing guys are...they stamped the sweatband Premier Quality. Lol.
Anyhoo... enough blabbering from me. Here's the hat ! For $50.00 I couldn't resist !!
