I can almost feel that felt. Looking good, Steve.
Using your information Gary, I found an informative and fascinating website about Puffing Billy and about The Science Museum: https://collection.sciencemuseumgro...uffing-billy-locomotive-with-tender-and-rails

Steam days out, an event put on by the UK's MG Car Club,

The classic MG owners are always bemused when Tina I show up, dressed as we would have, had we been around to take delivery back in 1947.

Your snippet about the kookaburra I found fascinating and I was surprised to learn that it's a kingfisher. What an amazing plumage it has, incredible!
Now there's a picture you can't beat. Fabulous, Robert.

Today is the first day I've worn my latest western-fedora conversion. It's an old Mallory Lazy M.
I've trimmed the brim down to 2 3/4" and replaced the "Marshall Tucker" band (definitely not an original Mallory band). I only slightly reshaped the crown in order to give it a more bashed look.
I'm very fond of tall crowns. This one is 5 1/2" and seems to suit me well, and it really gives it an authentic look.

I think I'll be keeping this one for a while!!!

Also, if you look closely, you will see that one of my pics was photo-bombed by a Koi in my pond. Haha....

Well done. Totally different hat. That tall crown works really well.

The crema of the crop, Joe. Superb.

Lovely colours on that one, Jim.

They cloned it very well, I'd say. Very attractive hat, David.

Hückel Weilheim Advertising Pocket Mirror Match Holder. Unfortunately the match heads had to be removed for shipping. This is a recent arrival from Felix and probably from the 1960s. Found this back in 2014.

Do you mean steam trains Stefan? Or perhaps you are being a generous flatterer, as always. Try as I might I cannot get Tina to post on here, but she loves to stand behind me and peruse. Bowen's comment on the Hawaiian Shirt & Fedora thread got her quite emotional, but she's okay now.

The kindness shown by all Loungers here, lifts the spirits. It's much appreciated.
