Matt, Thank you for sending it my way! It's a fine looking hat! It's 'just a black hat', but I think it looks great on you, Steve. You also gave it some nice new pinches.

Joe, Thanks! Sorry I am behind this week. Your Champ, from the past weekend, was really outstanding in all ways!Very nice Steve. A lot of character on the one.
Thank you, Steve. It's a mystery to me as well! All are wonderful as usual, Stefan. I don't know why, but this week, my vote goes to the Meuwsen Topper![]()
Using your information Gary, I found an informative and fascinating website about Puffing Billy and about The Science Museum: https://collection.sciencemuseumgro...uffing-billy-locomotive-with-tender-and-railsThanks, Robert.
Puffing Billy itself is the world’s oldest surviving steam locomotive at more than 200 years old. It’s preserved at the Science Museum in London.
The Puffing Billy Railway in Melbourne is about 1¼ centuries old, though it was closed for several years in the fifties and early sixties. The trains used on the line are apparently 110 to 125 years old.
It was a fun ride. I’ve got more photos on my camera. These were iPhone snaps. We were also lucky enough to see a couple of kookaburra from the train.

Oh thank you sir. Much appreciatedJoe, Thanks! Sorry I am behind this week. Your Champ, from the past weekend, was really outstanding in all ways!
Looking good Steve.
Looks great! Well done!Today is the first day I've worn my latest western-fedora conversion. It's an old Mallory Lazy M.
I've trimmed the brim down to 2 3/4" and replaced the "Marshall Tucker" band (definitely not an original Mallory band). I only slightly reshaped the crown in order to give it a more bashed look.
I'm very fond of tall crowns. This one is 5 1/2" and seems to suit me well, and it really gives it an authentic look.
I think I'll be keeping this one for a while!!!
Also, if you look closely, you will see that one of my pics was photo-bombed by a Koi in my pond. Haha....

Hopefully your staying safe Frank. Sounds like the fires are getting pretty rough around your way...Gotta love that high crown!
