For church this morning the bespoke Gamble & Gunn looks grey, but it's almost the same shade as the trousers. Tina actually took the hat with her when she went shopping for the fabric that she rather splendidly turned into what you see.

That is a beautiful hat, Charlie.
That looks glorious catching the light like that, Jack. I suspect it looks glorious in any light, but you know what I mean.

Only flat brimmed hat I’ve ever had.
Not sure it’ll stay this way.
Early/mid 60s Stetson 3X in a light cream color I’ve never seen on a western.
Was very dirty and had a cattleman’s crease so it wasn’t easy getting the dirt off the raised crease area on a light colored. Still dirty here and there, but we’ll call it character and real world patina. View attachment 685520 View attachment 685521 View attachment 685522
Lovely hat, Randall. These very light coloured ones always make me nervous; feel like I should be wearing gloves to handle them.

Very nice, Joe. Great shape and proportions.

The colour of The Barbisio, even with the rain drops, is exquisite. But that Open Road with its iconic crown, narrow grosgrain ribbon, and that perfectly proportioned brim turned down just so at the edge and worn with panache. Some serious wow factor Stefan, just perfect!

Been away for a while. Three nights in Melbourne, two in an airplane with 73 screaming vomiting kids. My Acorn Fawn Stylemaster took the trip with me. The vomiting began with one kid on day one in Australia (not the flight). It hit its peak on the last day. One in the bus, and continuing on the flight home, and another two on the flight.
The photos are taken in front of the Puffing Billy small gauge steam engine. Our failure to get the students to take motion sickness medicine before riding likely contributed to the problems.

Sleep deprivation, both in Australia, and especially on the flight home have made me the latest to succumb. I’ve been on water and “Oral Rehydration Solution” all day, as I’m unable to hold anything else down. Also struggling with headaches and stiffness.

That said, the hats I’ve been catching up on on this thread have offered some respite. There have been some truly magnificent offerings, and quite a few that I’d like to comment on individually, but with this brain fuzz, I don’t really feel up to it.

I’m always awestruck by your Sunday posts, Stefan. But today, your hats have hit new heights, raised the bar, even elevated your image; a tall order!! The topper is a head and shoulders winner today IMHO.
