For anyone that experiences wonky brims on the Hemp Stetsons.... Steam and a brim block is the answer. Steam the heck out of the brim really good and then weight the brim down on a curved brim flange till it cools. A little moisture really helps the body of the hemp. This hat has been sitting upside down on a wall rack for 4 months or so and it held its shape really well today.

I love these things... Ive got Hemp Stratoliners in Green, turquoise, brown and tan. Have one Stetson Bristol Hemp in a natural tan thats just a bit lighter weight

Open Road Thursday. My favorite rose trimmed green OR. Nice little 3x. no metric size shown so Im guessing 60s?. Wears well snapped Up AND Down.Love the Long Oval... It just fits the way all hats should!

My favorite mailman showed up with another "missing" box today (10 days of "arriving late... in route to next destination" on the tracking updates)
A fairly clean ( and inexpensive) Beaver Brand Major in a nice med dark grey. Nice soft, light felt... fits great. 2-1/2" brim. No ribbon, and has a few little moth nibbles, but a 3/4" ribbon will cover all but one of them. Time to brush, steam and work a couple brim wobbles out.. Then Ill see if I can do some ribbon experimenting without stabbing my fingers lol. Ive got several different shades and sizes of grey and black ribbons out on the table... we will see what screams "pick me!" the loudest. Fairly lightweight felt, so Im thinking I may even sew on a brim binding
