New life for this abused and neglected Mallory Dallas. This hat was in rough shape when I got it. Couldn't make it look brand new but at least it looks better. Whoever put hot glue all over the ribbon needs to go to hat jail! That was a job to take off! Stripped down, reblocked, and reworked! Original material was reused. Now to finally get caught up on some other projects!

30s or 40s Marathon on this NFL conference championship Sunday with a few “Ribeyes” on the grill (They look suspiciously like NY Strips... but damn they were good!)

That's a really good one, Joe. Solid brim treatment, some light heathering on the felt and a cool two tone ribbon. What's not to like?

So happy to be able to wear a fedora today after weeks of highs in the 20s—parka and knitted hats every day.

Classic look, David. Can't go wrong with that.

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Jota" "Seal Velour" possibly late 1930s. The Velour color and finish are fantastic. Very high gloss. I found this Velour back in 2021.

J. Hückel ´s Söhne, K.u.K. Hof-Hutfabrikanten, Neutitschen & Wien. Seal Mark pre WWI could be late 19th Century. It was removed from the document but it appears there is a collectors market for just the Seal Marks. I found this back in 2017.

Outstanding velour, Steve. Fabulous petting hat!

Stefan, That is really something that the Rehfus & Cie. came from a Spainish seller! As usual a fantastic series of hats from you! The JHS Velour is amazing. I have to check and see if I have a record of that one.
Thanks, Steve. It was surprising to me as well; rarely find high quality hats offered by Spanish sellers. Pretty sure I posted the JHS here, but it was a while ago.

Now that looks like a Failsworth from their heyday, Marcel. They didn't get the Stetson license for nothing.

Late 30s No.1 and bread rolls I made late last night. Both very tasty! View attachment 676954 View attachment 676955 View attachment 676956 View attachment 676957
O yes! That is a hat with presence, Randall. Gorgeous.

My "missing" hat finally emerged out of 12 days of US Post Office purgatory! A cute little 4x Stetson Giant in Silverbelly. Guess Im a sucker for a curled brim and couldnt resist this one. 3-1/8" Brim 5-1/4" crown. Side curls are a bit taller than front and back so it kind of gives it a dimensional brim look ( narrower on sides) with a slight downward swoop in front and back. Box was a bit worse for shipping wear, but hat was clean and in great shape. The cheap factory band was glued on about an inch off of being centered so it got removed asap. slapped on a spare decent braided horsehair band for now. Looks better to me already. This hat may be a good candidate for a nice coin concho hatband eventually. Nice little western without being too big.

I did hear a little noise in the bottom of the box .... found a tollbooth receipt from Oklahoma and about $1.50 in change in there... BONUS!

12 days isn't too bad. I like the look with the braided hatband. Nice catch, Rick.

Really regal regular Royal Stetson.
