What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

We finally made it to the weekend and this morning I'm wearing a very special hat. Awhile back I spotted this Dobbs "Two Ouncer" lightweight fedora on Ebay and fell in love. One of the things that caught my eye was that the ad said "All proceeds from the sale of this hat went to benefit the Steur Home for Wayward Hats in the Netherlands ".
Turns out Bob Huffard had previously sold the hat to Stefan Steur and the hat got lost in transit...made it all the way to Europe and back to the USA. Stefan gave up and had Bob sell the hat and now I am the lucky caretaker of this fine hat !! Always on the lookout for something a little different and this one certainly fits the bill. Thanks fellas !!

30 degrees and burrr! this morning. Needing a warm hat so the Sovereign Temple in Mink came off the wall.

Headed out for Coffee and gossip and then its time to wash all the dishes so that Thanksgiving will be all done. ( except for a few leftovers lol)

That's a great looking Knox Foxhound, Don. I particularly love the ribbon and bow treatment. Cool liner, too.

1940s Antonin France Super Luxe Homburg. Originally sold in the wonderful hat establishment of A. Meer, Strasbourg.

Its dark blue colour is hard to catch.
