Randall, our pal from Yonkers (@Rumad) was (is?) making bread 2-3 times/week. I’ve toyed with the thought. Enough for a Bread thread?
well I haven’t seen Alan hangin round here for quite some time. Miss him. He’s a real good feller.

Making bread is a trick that has a learning curve and it takes a while to figure out which recipe works for you. Then there’s the million “secret” ways of doing things and all the various tools one needs. Just like hats or anything else, once you jump into something you find out there’s a lot to find out.
I’ve found that making a “bread sponge” first, is the way to go for tastier, fluffier, longer shelf life breads and also ending up with a more open “crumb”.
It’s enjoyable if ya have the time, and taste great too—if you’re lucky and happen do it right, that is.
YouTube has been a big help!
