Echter Borsalino possibly late 1920s early 1930s. I have no idea what this Soft Felt looked like originally. The felt is very thick and stiff which is not usually associated with Borsalino Soft Felts. I have no idea if this stiffness is a later result. The Sweatband was crumbling so I decided not to access the paper label. I haven't looked at this Echter Borsalino in many years but it's definitely interesting. It was made for the very well known retailer Carl Kellner Hamburg. I found this Soft Felt back in 2012.

Luckily the Crown Tip Patch survived.

Carl Kellner Homburg had six locations.

Whatever it originally looked like, Steve, that Echter Borsalino sure looks good now. I particularly like the way the bow flows onto the brim.

Shame about the sweat, but it certainly adds to the overall character of the hat. Nice find.

I've had the hankering for a long hair fedora here lately. Usually wear a larger brim hat but every now and then I will go with a stingy brim and have several in my collection. My youngest son told me this one matched my hair so I just had to have it !! Biltmore Panda fur, made in Canada. The gold embossing has just about gone from the sweatband but I included a close up any ways. If I read correctly it says Canadian Panda ?

* still hunting for a long hair large brim fedora in my size...

That's one fine petting hat, Timmy.

Glad she is on the mend, Randall—my best to you all. And you’re looking sharp—covering all the angles. Don’t forget to care of yourself, as well.
