Cheers this morning. I took a morning walkabout wearing a Stephen Stetson. An excellent hat that needs to get outside more often.

Home for some cold brew coffee I changed my hat to an Adam with a green felt.

I headed out to pick up some groceries and I changed to a 30's spiral fedora. The hues in the spiral felt are just sooo cool.

Cheers, Eric. -
The textural look to that spiral stitched felt is really special, Eric. I want to touch it!

Posting photos works. The process reminds me of the Steve Wright line that “almost everywhere is within walking distance - if you have the time.”

Borsalino from Daniele, thank you @Daniele Tanto!

Excellent Borsa Charlie. Missing the signature rascally grin.
Since the lounge is speedy delivery at the moment in my neighborhood, i’ll relate how at my current age, posting, even liking recently is like walking past a toilet…every time you do you have to pee. The silver lining is that i now have plenty of time to empty my bladder awaiting approval of my clicks.
Yay

Greetings All:
Today…for my bus stop drop off a 40’s Stratoliner Vita-Felt.
I do love a light unreeded hat for comfort and one with some wonky character.
Be well
Bowen
Ps: there were some ladies there. I caught one checking out my…hat.

Latest arrival from the glorious Tonak - Huckel.

There was a really quick sale in mid-September and I took advantage of it.
The name of the hat is "Caruso" the size is 59 cm. or 7 3/8 in the USA.
Caruso Tonak 2.jpg
The felt is "Hermes Dark Soleil" and its origin is "Rabbit Hair", it also has the denomination "Excellent Quality".

We are faced with a hat that has two faces: a poorly defined shape, the brims are quite flat, but floppy and the crown is particularly hard and with a predefined shape, this is the least pleasant face.

The fantastic one is felt: it has a fantastic color and a finish that is very uncommon in today's felts. "Soleil" was often used in French and Italian hatmaking to indicate a felt that glitters and has very small threads of another color on its surface.
Having said that I believe it will be the last in the series of current Tonaks that I will add to my collection.

The measurements are 7 centimeters the brim, 4 cm. the ribbon which is matching the felt and the open crown is 13cm. Now the doubt arises: where to send him to get a better hat?

Wore a late 50s white 3X TAR during a 3 day vacation with my immediate family.
We stayed at an Air B&B, ate like kings at great restaurants and visited an Army Infantry museum in Columbus, Georgia.
My Mom and Dad are getting older and we all wanted to spend time together as a family. It was a blast! I’m blessed to have such super relatives. I spent a lot of time in the museum looking at the many historical military hats.

Sorry. Didn’t look to see what kind of straw hats that the pumpkin people were wearing.
