Thanks, guys!
With Charlie’s and others cheering me on I might could actually venture out further than the property fence line!
Until I can afford my dream ranch in Wyoming I think I’ll have to stick with 2 7/8” brims—at the most.
One exception.
I have a Stetson Beaver 100 (thanks to Dr. Randy) with a 3 1/4” brim that I feel great under!

May do that thread, David. You have one you’re not wearin around town?
I bought a vintage cattleman’s crease Bailey U Rollit a few months ago thinking that I could maybe pull it off and that with the wide brim and vented crown it would be the perfect thing for summer. The wife and kids busted up so hard when I put it on and then insisted so strenuously that I should wear it outside that I knew I could never even go out the front door of our apartment in it. ;)

As promised, a very minty early 60s Stetson Beaver 100. I have no insecurities about wearing this 3 1/4” curled brimmed gem!
‘Round here, 5” brims can cast a whole lotta shade, both literally and figuratively.

That Western looks great!

Thanks, Terry. I remember several years ago when you encouraged me to give westerns a chance. You were right.

Love the proportions on this one. Love the backdrop too. We have decent landscapes in Alabama but the landscape in your photos here are majestic!

I’ve always loved the alpine landscapes. The high Sierras around or above timberline can be incredible. This is part of the less known California.

What a hat!

Thanks, Joe. I’m waiting to see if you’re going to start building safes a la Max now that your collection is full of so many incredible hats.

I love everything about this hat!
Looks great on you!!!
That is a brilliant hat!
Beautiful Borsalino, Charlie.

Since there’s no thread called “What hat are you wearing, but only in the yard” thread I’m gonna have to post this 80s/90s? Tom Mix Stetson here. Once.
Fraid I’m fresh outta cattle at the moment and my pearl handled six shooters are in the…uh, shop.
Though I live in an extra rural area of South Georgia and we’uns wear western hats and other cowboy garb and have horses and even some cattle, don’t nobody wear anything like this’n round abouts.
I’m sure folks would laugh me right outta the swamp, but have to admit, I sorta cotton to this look—for another minute or two. View attachment 540546 View attachment 540547 View attachment 540548 View attachment 540549 View attachment 540552
I have a few hats like that: great to have in the collection, but likely not to wear about the town. What a thing though!

First day of school, so dress to impress at the bus stop. Debuting the Ecuadorian Panama Hat Co Genuine Montecristi:

:DMy “hat safes” are nothing more than plastic storage bins and some bathroom sized trash liners to individually wrap and hopefully keep bugs away from the felt. Hey some do have plastic snap lock handles.. does that count? I’m fighting (and losing) the need to add more bins though!:rolleyes:
