Around 5 years ago I got a message from Mike Moore of Buckaroo Hatters. He said a friend of ours had stopped by ( the hat shop in Covington) and wondered if I would be able to visit with him as he traveled in Arkansas.
Well I finally got to meet @BradBowers.
Brad was a bartender here when I first joined and I have always had the highest regard for him.
We had the best time visiting with each other over lunch.
The Lounge is a great place and you make and meet some great friends!!
This photo came up on my feed and I just wanted to share it…
By the way ..Brad and I both do genealogy and we found we are distant cousins!
Too cool!!
It's been forever since Brad's been on the Lounge, 'The Hatted Professor'. Anything we needed to know about hats, he was the guy to go to. Tell him to get back here!

A reposting of this Churchill Western Conversion. It came to me by way of alan. I blocked it up from a size 7 to a 7 1/4 LO. I gave it a dimensional brim that's 2 3/4 front and back and 2 5/8 on the sides. It sports a tall straight crown with a Center Dent and a Burgundy 1 1/2 ribbon and bow.
Pictures didn't come up in the order I wanted...

Good morning hat folks.

A Stetson Playboy (sage green) was my early morning walkabout hat.

I pulled out a less worn hat to get some chores done. The Portis whip stitched fedora has terrific felt. It is marked to be " Beaver-Lux."

That GP style Portis is fabulous. Is it in that thin velvety sort of velour like felt?

What an absolute fabulous hatband on that Penumbra panama.
So unusual. My choice though, would be The Dunlap. When you see
my new burgundy blazer, that's due anytime now, how that Dunlap
would compliment it.

Tina & I have had a very enjoyable weekend at the Shake & Stir festival.

We have been filmed, photographed, and put up on both the local newspaper and Facebook. My search effort hasn't produced anything yet. If you are clever at that sort of thing, we were filmed at The Cafe Riva, Southbourne, Bournemouth.

I may have looked like this, or at least I did today. The grey lid was yesterday, then again, I did switch it for a straw.
