Same hat, Cervo, different environment.

I've spent Christmas in the picturesque village of Weobley, Herefordshire where my sister lives. I always enjoy coming back to this place: so English.

Christmas Hat! I know there's not much love for new Borsalinos out there these days. But it was a gift, and I am surprised at how nice a hat it actually is. Like @Daniele Tanto says, you really can't go by what it says on the inside...you have to hold it and look at it, and even wear it. I like it ..should say love it! I'm comparing it to my Lock & Co Sandown, and the furfelt is much more malleable, and this is not Borsa's top tier....If I use as an example of a second tier hat that Borsalino is turning out these days...then my opinion would be Borsalino is not doing bad at all. And the word "junk" would not be found in the same room, lol!
Hope it photographs ok.

On a post-Christmas day worthy more of spring than of winter, I'm back to show you some new arrivals
Cafro 4.jpg
Borsalino Qualità Extra Superiore, size is 6 1/2 or 60 cm. 7 1/2 US.
Cafro 1.jpg

The color is Cafro and no indication of the model considering that the hat is not that old.
"Cafro" is one of the many browns, ochres, burnt sienna that the Borsalino dyers have created over the years
Cafro 7.jpg
In addition to the grays, the brown palette is very varied in production in Alessandria.
The shapes are the classic ones for a Borsalino from the Seventies outside the "creative" batch of hats produced those years

Wheather permitting, there will also be more new purchases that have joined the collection this month.

The Rogers Peet Company - Trivley was gifted to me some time back by Brent @deadlyhandsome It appears I when I put it away last, I left it in this X Crease As when I awoke it from its slumber it was still perfectly shaped in the Ace Deuce Tres. What an impressive felt that was made by Mac Lachlan and sports a Cavanagh edge brim.
