Great hat and awesome to find another Johnny Horton fan—definetly an under appreciated talent and a great voice!

Nice conversion, Terry. When you convert these Westerns, do they retain their stiffness or does the process soften them up for a more "dress" feel? I've always been curious about that.

Thank you David, from one Johnny Horton fan to another! He died way too young, only 35. He definitely had a great voice and, I think, would have been recognized as one of the greats if his life hadn't been cut short. Good to know there's another Johnny Horton fan!

Thank you Jim. Yeah, they do retain their stiffness, even when I thin out the felt. Although I do get creases that are sharp and more crisp, and they retain their shape better. I can get them to where they almost react like vintage felt, but once you mist it with a little water to set the crease it goes back to being stiff.

Here's a Western that I converted. It was thick and stiff felted until I reworked it and got the hat to easily take a dry crease similar to vintage. Once I misted the hat to set the crease it went back to being stiff. If you prefer dry creases though, they'll stay pliable like in the video I posted...

Yet another wonderful TJ conversion, Terry. I have no idea how you do it, but I'm glad you do.

Thanks for the music, too.
