Great hat, Joe. How do you resist the temptation to dig your fingers into that crown and try out some creases? Looks good open too.

I know what you mean Brent. But the previous owner put a significant amount of stiffener in this crown to give it almost a bowler shape and feel. It at some point did have a center crease as evidenced by some soft spots here and there.... And it would probably take one just fine. But considering the effort that was put in to make this one a hard shell. I figure I keep it that way.

Modern Tonak size 59 bought new a few years ago.

A beautiful hat and a beautiful view over your shoulder Daniele!

Tomorrow I will wear my "Cow Lot" "Beaver 50" OR clone on a trip to MO

Travelling in style Mark. Be safe ...

Borsalino

Yet another great hat from one of the Lounge's premier collections. Thanks for the shares (and the daily doubles)!

No. 1 Quality

Man oh man ... great style and you wear it well Greg.

Ditto the WiW Joe! Sorry I missed out on Western Week. Maybe I can join in in a couple weeks for Round 2.

I wore my Buckaroo whiskey derby yesterday, and my Greeley low beaver topper today, and got permission from my gal to post a funny picture of herself in the derby, from a video chat.

That has some true western dimensions. Looks good on you. Joe.

Wormser had a knack for making a hat look good. This a prime example, Greg.

Mini heat wave in the bay (you know, what we call "hot," which is like 75°). VS Dualist
Nice! I like the flat brim on it.

Turned up the sides of the brim on my dusty sage Lee silver label, and took it for a spin today.
Wonderful hat, Jeff. Great curves on it.

Breathtaking hat, Alan. Like it just came of the shelf.

Nice find!

For "Western Week" that Joe and Brent have been celebrating...I have been wearing these:
A 70's ? 6 cord 3X that I shaped into a 19 teens to 20's style:

and a 50's 3x.......modified "Campaign" style:

As you see each has it's take on the "Last Drop" liner.........a lot of people seem to like the black one, or at least they ask about it anyway......
Understandable: there's a lot to like!

Can't comment on the guitar (know nothing about them), but the strat looks good, Randall.
A reposting of this hard to find Knox Stagecoach refurb. This hat sports a tall 7 inch open crown and a 4 1/2 inch brim with a 1/4 inch kettle curl...

Doesn't get more western than that, Terry. To be honest though I liked the old crease as well.

Dang, Joe! It's still on my list.

I got a call to come home yesterday afternoon and remove a fallen limb from the driveway. Hand saw gave way to a chain saw. The Akubra Camp Draft gave way to a cap with ear protection. It was definitely a small chore turned much bigger.

Last night a Monson gilled fedora kept the light snow off my head and face.

This mornings dog soirre was taken under the brim of a Gannon Wanderer (steel gray beaver felt). I added the evening pic of my dog Tio to the pic collage just because I could.

Cheers, Eric -
Beautiful hats, Eric, but it's the Monson that steals the show.

Love those lightweights. Great for spring.

In summary I had some chores to attend to and I forgot the many hats scattered around the house

The silver-colored felt is gorgeous with an "antelope" finish and matching ribbon as well as the hem of the brims

Tonak builds quality hats with top notch felt and the finishes are great, for this reason it is one of the rare hats bought new

I wish you a good day under the first raindrops and a fun weekend, adding my compliments on your magnificent hats.
I have not forgotten about those
Fine looking hat, Daniele. Tonak seems to have found its way back. There was period when their hats looked rather joyless.

Now there's a hat I like to see! Magnificent!

Thank you steur! I'm partial to the Montana Pinch and Cattleman creases, myself, but a lot of people do like those telescope creases too.

My wife gifted me this CRR jacket to go with my “art” hat. Excuse my still wet hair.

You don't sneak such a hat, you wear it with pride, wet hair and all. What a magnificent pose you strike, sneak indeed, shame on you!

hats and shirts 002.JPG
My usual choice to go with this shirt is a Stetson Sovereign, mid-grey in colour, I have been pondering on whether to ask my milliner to make me something in either a deep burgundy or, better still, cherry black. I shall probably uhm & aah a while longer, it's what I do.
Like most of my hats this one is bespoke.
