An unlined Playboy for some unexpected spring-like weather.
Happy Monday, all.

Great looking Playboy, David. Unusual wind cord. Don't recall seeing one with a cord over the ribbon before. An unlined Playboy for some unexpected spring-like weather.

Great colour indeed. Kind of Akubra bluegrass green. Nice ribbon, bow, and binding treatment, too.Gray skies provide a fine contrast for my Stratoliner. Really enjoy wearing this one, love the color.

I couldn’t imagine how your hat collection could take an upward turn, but you always seem to find a way.

Thanks, Perry.Gorgeous black hat, Randall.
Wow. Had read somewhere that the Vita-Felts were made to take the place of Borsas during the big war, but didn’t know Stetson would copy a Borsalino so closely. How bout that.40’s Royal Stetson Vita-Felt this has the corrugated sweatband like a Borsalino

Thanks! And I have definitely started to notice that as I search around for vintage hats.Looks good! There’s a reason Stetson has been making Stratoliners for so long. I’m sorry to see that you’re a size 7 5/8…tough going in the vintage market.
Nice TAR, there Charlie. And a good one eye, as well!Distraction this morning provided for me by this Borsalino thin ribbon… View attachment 407792 View attachment 407793 View attachment 407794 View attachment 407795 View attachment 407796 View attachment 407797

You didn’t ask but here’s a pic of the inside anyway.
I feel led to since @carouselvic finally posted inside pics of one of the many of his outstanding lids.
Plus, it’d be nice if someone could tell me if mine is one of the earliest versions of Vita-Felt or one of the later versions. View attachment 407892
