Crazy weather this morning with heavy fog and warm temps. Foreboding winds storms and cold weather forecast for overnight. Out in a Dobbs Rainbow.

The ribbon treatment is special on this grand green felted Rainbow. Admittedly the green hued felt is a fav of mine.

Terrible pic below. I took it to try and showcase the sweet embroidered liner.

Borsalino Caesar Qualita Speciale

Another of my always at the ready grab and go stingies. I think it’s fitting that this hat which more than likely spent most of its life shoved into a Borsalino coffin box now spends all its time either on the rack on on my head.

Nice day, somewhat cold. I went to pick up an old camera from repair and felt the December chill.

The hat that accompanied me is a "Grosso Valz - Casa fondata nel 1886" in the Cervo valley north of Biella

It is one of my favorite hats as it has it all: proportions, color and finishes to be a champion.

It comes directly from the 30s of the last century.

The felt is heavy and fairly malleable, the color is "Moka" and the ribbon accompanies the color of the felt.

This Grosso Valz is rarely used and put to sleep with all the precautions to keep it.

Weather is our news. Last nights very warm temps found rain, thunder and strong winds affecting us. Overnight it got cold and this morning light snow is falling on the icy surfaces. A careful dog soiree this morning in a Gannon Playboy.

The VS Winchester Bluemist beaver felt, Art Fawcett's final stock, is a gorgeous silver blue hue.
