Genuine Panama Fedora from Muse’s Atlanta
5 inch crown
2 3/4 brim
Very fine weave
Rich Burgundy Pug

This beauty finally arrived and I am really happy with it. It has the finest weave of any Panama I own… but by just a hair finer than The Colonel by Lamsom Hubbard. I love the crisp fedora styled blocking… and even though when the brim is up it kinda snaps to a very awkward high angle.. it snaps down with ease and holds a rather nice firm shape. The LH on the other hand doesn’t like to stay down and is a bit loose and bouncy. Just a different personality. I love the rich deep burgundy color of the puggaree. Tomorrow the travel mate in this duo deal!

Another "Prima" "Alpha" velour, black of course

Though similar, very different compared to my other "Prima". Similar thickness, density and finish but softer crown and deeper brim flanging (nearly flat brim on the back-bow one) allowing for an upbrim look

Probably lower quality leather (less texture and thinner) sweatband but considerably softer

Who said one (or a dozen) black velour(s) is enough?

Enjoy the mild temperatures and the sun those that you still can...

Thank you Steve…. Quite happy with this one… that pug is the bees knees. And regardless of it’s fine weave, it’s a hat I feel very comfortable wearing with its shape style and fit.

A favorite of my black hats. Even though it’s a bit bigger and western it’s a hat I’m quite comfortable with… At least when it’s cool enough out.
