Windy day in Verona after a cold night

A hat from the 1950s made in France. Tirard in "Tweed" as described on the paper label.
View attachment 383573
The felt is of medium consistency in a heather brown with orange hues in the amre of brown-red.
View attachment 383575 Very special ribbon that is in contrast with the color of the felt.

Finished in a superlative way, it belongs to that group of French hats that I bought five years ago and more in a very lucky and irrepitible find
View attachment 383577 Good day to all of you hat lovers and thanks for your likes.
Perfect autumn hat. Warm reddish brown heather felt: what more could you ask for?

Gannon navy. Catching flakes. As well as perched on one. View attachment 383649
Great shape to that one. Nice colours too.

Cold this morning with sun, now early afternoon, gray, wind, cold and bad weather coming.

We are in winter and so I took a hat suitable for the season from the wardrobe.
View attachment 383698
It was a Tyrolean made in Italy, probably from Barbisio or Cervo.

The honey-colored velour felt is gorgeous and then it underwent a transformation in the hands of Fleur, becoming what you see.

This is one of the hats I love for this time of year

Thanks for your compliments and likes
Beautiful hat. Nice work by Fleur.

Outstanding hat, Brent.
Very nice, Joe. A ribbon that is both frivolous and subtle at the same time.

The brim-up seems to fit this hat. Very nice, Brent.

Light grey Agnoulita on a dark grey day. View attachment 384059
Perfect outfit, Steve. Hat, coat and scarf.

You mean the playboy that's a hat, don't you?:)

Holiday season has begun. Hopefully we can dodge the omicron variant. Borsalino Peluche Philly style.

Very nice, Reggie. I really like that jacket.
C.1900s Stetson derby paired with this c.1907-1910s overcoat for this beautiful cool and crisp day

Genuine Panama Fedora from Muse’s Atlanta
5 inch crown
2 3/4 brim
Very fine weave
Rich Burgundy Pug

This beauty finally arrived and I am really happy with it. It has the finest weave of any Panama I own… but by just a hair finer than The Colonel by Lamsom Hubbard. I love the crisp fedora styled blocking… and even though when the brim is up it kinda snaps to a very awkward high angle.. it snaps down with ease and holds a rather nice firm shape. The LH on the other hand doesn’t like to stay down and is a bit loose and bouncy. Just a different personality. I love the rich deep burgundy color of the puggaree. Tomorrow the travel mate in this duo deal!

Snow has come to stay in Scandinavia...only the JHS velours can help fighting the winter blues ;)

Another "Prima" "Alpha" velour, black of course
20211204_134039.jpg
Though similar, very different compared to my other "Prima". Similar thickness, density and finish but softer crown and deeper brim flanging (nearly flat brim on the back-bow one) allowing for an upbrim look
20211201_191507.jpg
Probably lower quality leather (less texture and thinner) sweatband but considerably softer

Who said one (or a dozen) black velour(s) is enough? ;)

Enjoy the mild temperatures and the sun those that you still can...

Blue is nice, but black works just as well for this one. Very nice, Joe.
A favorite of my black hats. Even though it’s a bit bigger and western it’s a hat I’m quite comfortable with… At least when it’s cool enough out.

Very nice, Joe. A ribbon that is both frivolous and subtle at the same time.
Stefan I think you nailed the allure of this hat and it’s ribbon!

Super panama, Joe.

Thank you!
