I didn't think this Bone from Northwest Hats would be a good candidate for casual outfits. I was wrong.

While I’m not one to give too much deference to hat rules such as.. “Can’t wear straws before…..” or “must wear felt after….” Or vice versa. Today being National Felt Hat Day I felt the need to break out this one fine piece of felt.

Sunvagun!! That Mallory is a beaut!
Just as cool as the Rainbow that @moehawk wore today!
I didn’t post today for felt day, but wore one of my C&Ks. I’d say all of here done the hallowed celebration right!

Good morning folks. Morning dog soirée in another pre-40's Brock fedora from Surley, NB. This brown back bowed hat has a really striking bronze thread on the overwelt.

Adding cream to my coffee I was inspired to change to a cream hued Brock for a walkabout. This pre 40's fedora is marked with the retailer name Hurleys, St.John's, N.B. The Brock hats were made in the Brockville, Canadian hat plant.

Arrived at my father-in-law’s condo and found these two standing guard. I guess they were looking for a meal of lizzard/baby iguana. Pretty cool.

And an open weave (sea grass I think) to replace a few pieces of sod and install a couple of plants in front of the AC unit. Apparently the HOA decided to make a new rule without telling anyone…. OR.. enforcing an old original rule that hasn’t been mentioned in the twenty years I been here. Shrug.

Great pic of the owls. That is just plain cool. Thanks for sharing.

Love the spiral stitched hat. You should add it. if you have not already to the spiral stitched hat thread.

Bust 'em out, boys. Last day for straw.

Excellent straw. I am late to the show, but today will be warm and muggy which means I can wear straw. Cheers.

Hey everyone!
Trouting out this 1950-ish Dobbs Rainbow. Perfect hat to wear when fishing for likes. :)

Have a great day!

Great to see the Rainbow again.

Good Lord!
I’ve never seen such a sweet Feather weight Champ. Great colors. What a beaut!

Thanks for the hat compliment Randy.

Mallory Tens are terrific hats. They punch way higher than their respective prices in the day.

I really enjoy the bone hued felt. Yours is a fancy-dancy bone fedora. Looking sharp.

I like that hat!!! Nice one Eric!

Thank you Eric. Really do enjoy Mallory of this period which I believe is in the 5 or so years after Stetson takeover. I feel in this era while Stetson had taken control there was still a lot of Mallory styling and manufacturing cues. I don’t believe I have any pre 1946 Mallory fedoras to compare though.

Your Brocks this morning are fabulous
