Sharp, Ross!
But I think you’d look even cooler in a new “Nudie” suit with your Martin slung high like Hank Sr.!

Tried to break this one out of the case today at The Autry, but security was all over it.

Yeh, not normally a fan of the cutaway, or the smaller guitar but itchy credit card some evening a few years ago. Brass bridge pins helped it. Might switch back to bone or ebony for the bass strings. It's solid mahogany so it changes with the weather, likes different strings in different seasons. My hands are beginning to go though, arthritis.

That hat is my favourite though (-:
Got some of that pesky arthritis myself.
The interesting binding and rosette trim on your cutaway looks great. Who built it?
So, brass pins give more treble response? Makes sense, especially on the 5th and 6th strings. My bassy 26 year old box might could use at least two if they really help. Has bone pins right now.
I’ve always used EJ 17s but recently found that 80/20 D’Addario strings help a lot to add treble tone, as well.

Very fashionable, Steve. Good summer feel to it.

Nice!

Too many wonderful hats to comment on them all, but it is great to see everyone looking fine in the summertime. I've been trying to beat the heat with some straws. Here's a late 1800s boater and a pseudo-Panama courtesy of a trade with @Daniele Tanto:

Stay cool and safe everybody!
Both straws look excellent, Jonathan. The planter type one from Penumbra is a special one though.

Lee Overbrook on this overcast and thankfully not too hot morning.
Cool new look, Jeff.

Classic look, Perry; can't beat it.

Another stellar parade, Eric. The Stetson Vogue and the 30s Borsalino stand out for me.

This past week I spent some time under an unlined Stetson Playboy.

Stetson Royal De Luxe
4 inch crown as shaped (5 1/4 open)
2 5/8 brim with matching grosgrain bound edge
7/8 champagne grosgrain mid ribbon

This Stetson Royal De Lux came off a white hot tip from @BobHufford and is proof that I am very weak when it comes to resisting a HAS attack. As it was less than ten seconds after seeing the stars on the sweat and liner logo I was hitting the buy now button. The felt color is a light tan sort of cream caramel with an almost matching champagne colored grosgrain mid ribbon. There are some foxing on the liner and a bit on the felt but nothing that stands out too much. The felt is thin a s shaped with ease. The sweat is nice and supple…. However I did manage to pop the reed tape stitches… so I will need to reattach. Shouldn’t be too much of an issue as it was just the thread that held the reed tape to the hat. Another interesting thing is the Stetson keyhole size tag is size 7 but the red reorder tag indicates 6 7/8… it seems to fit in between the two… so who knows. I know there was some thought that the stars in the sweat and liner logos indicated early 50s or older…. And that there is much conjecture as far as that goes. So I don’t know much on age… if anyone has any thoughts there it is appreciated. Thanks definitely go out to Bob for this excellent find which is going out with me tonight… loose sweat and all.

Morning dog soirre wearing a VS Stratoliner inspired fedora (Dove beaver hued felt).

The sun rising across the local fields made was picturesque. I wore a VS Executive (silverbelly beaver felt with a gill ribbon treatment) for a short walkabout.

Home before 8:30am I took advantage of cool weather to pick more rasberries for breakfast. I changed fedoras to a Gannon Playboy inspired fedora (blue-mist beaver felt).

Dang security.
You’d make a cool Burrito Brother.
Bet you can sing “Wild Horses” better, too. But can you fly?

A genuine LOL, Randall! Of course Wild Horses was a go to in my early years, though I’ve never really fancied myself as much of a GP fan. I love trekking out to Joshua Tree though, wifey and I even stayed in his infamous hotel room. For the Burrito Bros I liked their harmonies, but I think my fav for pickin’ is Why Are You Crying, killer tune.

Beautiful hat, of course, Bill.
I’ve noticed that immediately after your back surgery that that stoic Marine gaze has softened somewhat. Not a bad thing and i hope it’s because you are more pain free.
I’m sure you recall the mantra back in the day, “pain is good, extreme pain is extremely good”.
Wasn’t then, ain’t now.
