Silverbelly
4 3/8 crown as shaped - about 5 1/4 open
3/8 light golden grosgrain ribbon
2 1/2 brim with 1/8 matching binding

I’m really happy with this latest arrival... Stetson Twenty Five Open Road. It has a real nice feel to it... shapes very well and has a nice profile. No paper tag under the sweat... I was thinking early to mid 60s. (Editing myself... mid 1950s) If anyone has anymore insight on age. A few small blemishes here and there in the felt nothing significant.. A bit of an abrasion in one small area of the brim binding and the wind trolley has been removed. But all and all I am really happy with this hat. It fits and feels great... I suspect it will get a good amount of wear.

I decided to clean up our little backyard patio table nook overlooking the lake and we were enjoying a beverage at sunset... until it appeared... something was overlooking us!

Today...since it’s double Dobbs Forty day in the classifieds i couldn’t resist a double down Dobbs Forty post. Seeing those classifieds had me feeling the 40s and feeling remiss not fondling the 40s enough.
So...some Forties for the fire and the fortunate fellows that find themselves fulfilled with a fine find. Well...i’m outta “f”s so fare thee well.

This was a costly lesson. This is my most expensive custom hat and it’s one that I regret ordering. It’s exactly what I ordered, but it just doesn’t work like I thought it would from photos. The felt is FEPSA 100% beaver and nice, but not as nice as my best/most recent Gannons made from Winchester’s beaver felt. It’s also not as nice for my preferences as FEPSAs 50X felt from Hornskov. I talked myself into this hat, and in the three months I’ve owned it I’ve only worn it to try on. I’ve spent a lot of time shaping and reshaping it, and I’m sure I’ll reshape it again. Mikael of Hufvud is a good hatter and it’s a quality hat, but it just hasn’t won me over. There’s a lot I’d do differently.

I have one too and I understand exactly what you are saying.

Stetson Pinnacle in Mink color. I'm amazed at the quality of this hat, the Beaver is wonderful. It fits like it was made for me. Delmonico hatter & Stetson did good with this

I’ve noticed and enjoyed that you have really stepped up your hat game for awhile. I have to say that the Cobalto Borsalino from @Hurricane Jack is a hat i’ve lusted for. One of the best blues of any hat. A top shelf hat of distinction, to be sure. I know wearing it takes you to another place. Enjoy, you deserve it.
