Thanks, Bob.
I’m innocent!
I believe you Chas. You have that look about you.
Just be careful ... those matches were made to burn.
Thanks, Bob.

The number of hats I keep in my daily wear is small so I end up wearing the sames over and over.
From time to time, one or another gets out.

Ah ha! Another Echter Borsalino! I should have known you had one or two or probably three in your archives. Beautiful homburg, Daniele. After two days of darkness and rain, the sun suddenly appeared accompanied by a mild, unseasonable temperature.

Walk around with an Echter Borsalino sold in Germany.

Borsalino Qualità Superiore, the felt color is "Dattero" and the lobbia type "Nadir 4 1/2".

The felt is very malleable and looks like it was made in the Fifties judging by the paper label and the hat's finish.

Another piece in the Lobbia Borsalino puzzle.
The walk was pleasant, but with the strong feeling of being completely out of season as the temperature and a too fake sense of late winter.

Thanks for the likes last week, congratulations to you for the great quality hats shown.
I agree. My modern Stetsonian is a thick tough felt. It took me a long time to whip it into shape. On the contrary the open crown NY is a softer more mailable felt. I am a big fan of the excellent quality Stetsons.I have a tawny Stetsonian just like yours, except (of course) mine is bigger than yours.
The subtle differences are less visible than tactile. If there were one characteristic of the New York that seems to work better than the Stetsonian, it’s the malleability of the felt and its ability to hold the form. I like both hats, but I’m still tweaking the Stetsonian from time to time.

I agree Jim. I’d say 50s on this oneMan, Penney's had some nice hats. Fifties or forties?
What a hat!A Snowy inaugural for this new-to-me Knapp-Felt. I'm afraid the overcast skies don't do this hat justice. It's so perfectly black it's almost a singularity.

You wear it well! I really like that one and I shared the liner in the "Lovely Liners" thread before you revealed that you had won it. Congrats!
