Out for lunch with some office mates in a Knox Westlite.
All wonderful Eric, love this Misto!Home from work yesterday afternoon and needed to move snow. An Adams with a unique ribbon treatment was my hat choice.
Dinner was grilled catfish on oak coals. A blue Whippet was my fedora for the outside task.
Dog soirée this morning in a favorite Borsoliono Misto.
Cheers, Eric -
What a velours series Wayne, all fantastic, I particularly like the rolled brim ones! From last week, parade of Black Velours

What to say Steve, breathtaking as all of your hats!Anton Peschel Neutitschein possibly mid 1920s. I received this hat from a FL member back in 2010. He had it restored by Optimo Chicago which I think did a good job but I wish he had kept the original Sweatband (see below). The original Band was missing and the original Liner was shredded (see below). The Black Velour is of really high quality.
Original Liner Remnants

Imported by the "The Star Clo. Co. Macon, GA". I found some info on "The Star Clo. Co. Macon, GA". The company was owned by David Wachtel Sr. who immigrated from Austria / Bohemia in 1867. (Federal Census records showed there was community of people that immigrated from Austria / Bohemia.) His son David Wachtel Jr. born in Macon 1895 was also involved in the business and took over sometime after his father's death in 1920s (not listed in 1930 census). I have no idea how long the business lasted after 1930.

It just could be that I still don't have a velour homburg. Looking at that one that is something to be corrected. Very cool, Michael.Biltmore Golden Pheasant velour homburg to inspect the new snowfall.

Truth is that I just needed something warm to get out and throw the trash (-8c)...

Thanks, Bob. That one gets a lot of likes (and it deserves it).And we are all better for it! If I had to pick a winner it would be the Borsalino Lobbia Misto Nebbia. Love it ...
Thanks, Randall. Martora is the Italian name for pinemarten. One of the more exotic critters to donate fur for a hat.Man, this week’s batch is surely superior, to my tastes, Stefan!
What’s a martaro?
And thanks for the compliments on my last two efforts!

Great find, Jim. You picked the right weather for wearing it!I picked up this Anton Peschel velour several weeks back, but haven't had a chance to document it. This its first trip out of the house.
I apologize for the gloominess.

Oddly enough the last shipment I received from the US took less than a week! Thanks, Brent! I have to admit, I was a little sad to see your Gorasgu up on the block. Someone will be getting a helluva hat.
Thanks, B, though all I have to do is look at one of your posts and I realize I still have a long way to go.
Hopefully this shipment won't get lost in the Bermuda Triangle for four months. I owe you a tracking number btw.
Yes, I know it's green, but damn, that's one nice hat.WWII era Dobbs:
