Great look! Tell us about that hat, please sir! Inside pictures maybe, and any ID would be super!
Outstanding hat, Greg. I wonder if the little tufts on the ribbon ends were done on purpose.
Having to dig Borsalinos out of a pile is telling us something about your collection, Reggie. And finding one that matches tells us even more! Looking good.Following the lead of Daniele and Joe. I thought I would don my seasonal green shortest brim Melusine I could dig out of the pile.

Not really a stingy brim, but it was the best I could do today. Thanks for all of the likes and kind words. Have a great week.
I tricked you into a theme, John. Glad I did; that Penney's is a marvelous hat. The height of luxury back in the day for sure. Thanks Stefan!
The black hat thing wasn't meant to bd a theme, but hey! Here's another!
This J. C. Penney's Marathon Genuine Velour with it's up-brim overwelt and unique bow is from the Twenties.

Have a great day!
Looking good, Jeff. That topper works very well for the setting, I think.View attachment 293423 View attachment 293424 View attachment 293425 View attachment 293426 View attachment 293427 View attachment 293428 View attachment 293429 View attachment 293430 View attachment 293431 Took two hats with me this weekend to perform in a Victorian opera house in Lead, SD. An 1890s top hat in which to perform, and my Texas Hatters silver belly derby to wear offstage.
I like to pay a visit to Wild Bill and Calamity Jane every so often; hats off to those legends.

Very cool, Mike. Doesn't look that stingy to my eye. Great colour on it as well.On the eighth day of Stingymas a Lounge friend gave to me...the 880! Been saving this one for today. My friend Brent from the Fedora Lounge gifted this beautiful Resistol 880 to me a while back. It is part of a series of models commemorating the "Jet Age" of the late 1950s/early 1960s. They had all the airliners, mostly by Boeing. The Convair 880 came out against the Boeing 707 and did not take off (pun intended). Elvis Presley bought one as his personal plane and named it the "Lisa Marie". I love a hat that tells a story!

Very nice, Dave.
Looks great on you, Perry. Nice contrast between felt and ribbons.View attachment 293561 Green VS
Well, you've worn it now; things will never be the same Excellent hat, Charlie.Life doesn’t get any better than having a never-worn lid ready and waiting. It says a lot about our state of affairs.
Here’s mine... View attachment 293571 View attachment 293572
Very soft felt if I recall correctly. Suits you very well, Steve. We could do with some sunshine over here as well.Another StingyMas day with this Patterson & Co 1.5 inch brim.
Looking forward to when the sun stops being stingy. View attachment 293590
Thanks Joe.Beautiful Borsalino
Nice collection of stingy milans, Joe. I think I have a few of those myself, though packed away for the winter now.On the Ninth Day of StingyMas...

Thanks SteveLike most things, that's the great thing with hats: wear them like you want to, not how others say you should
Cool look, Michael!
Reggie this is a Borsalino I like more than others. The color and felt finish are great. Complimenti!Following the lead of Daniele and Joe. I thought I would don my seasonal green shortest brim Melusine I could dig out of the pile.
Bellissimo, anzi fantastico!
Thanks, Michael. There may have been one; the Italians have a habit of getting rid of their leaders rather quickly: keeps them on their toesYes, you did, Stefan. I still think this is the nicest felt of any of my hats.
Wasn't Augusta Sepia a Roman Emperor? Certainly looks like a hat fit for one.
Thanks,
Michael
It does work very well with the brim up. A firm number one!IMG_0018 by Michael A2012, on Flickr

A furry little Botta, stingy and green?Hey all!
This furry green Botta, a bit linty, not tall
With a brim that appears two sizes too small.

Have a Grinch-y Stingymas!
Great pics, Johnny. And cool hat.I have been wearing it for a few days now. Still feels odd to me. A little costum-ie a little Blues Brothers. I am not sure if I can really embrace a hat I don’t find overly practical. I still prefer the wider brims of my fedoras and Akubras.

Perfect outfit, Mike. That Olcott was a succes and deserves some head-time. If the aubergine hat gets any fluffier it wil greet you at the door! Looking forward to your new project.Actually, this was yesterday's hat wearing. Took a day off of Stingymas to visit Mike Miller at NW Hats. Had a great BS Session about hats and such. Wore my new gray overcoat that Santa let me buy from my Haberdasher in Albany. Since I was going to see Mike, I wore the famous "Olcott" 1912 homburg. Love this hat, it does not get the outings it deserves. I might have fell in love with a fluffy aubergine rabbit...a 1920 style homburg in the works. I thought I remembered a children's story about the "Aubergine Rabbit", Googled it, and was a little embarrassed...

Haha. Quite literally so on day nine... but not figuratively as there is no way I could squeeze them all into 12 days. Decisions... decisions. You're not grasping at straws now to get to twelve I hope, Joe? These stingies work very well for you. looking forward the next days!
Fantastic all the way, Eric.Morning errand to the bank. "The Man" has to have his pay regardless of the pandemic. I wore a 30's Brock fedora. It coordinated well with my blazer choice.
Cheers, Eric -
