Mike, both you and that Cavanagh deserve a place in the Rat Pack Hall of Fame.
May the Stingy be with you!

On the third day of Stingymas, my true love said to me..."do you really need another hat!" Of course Santa, I always do. This early 1960s Cavanagh 30 has been in my stable for a while, one of my favorites. If there ever was a poster child for the Stingy Brigade, this hat fits the bill. Incredible felt, Cav edge (of course, they invented it) and a rich dark chocolate color. This style from the early 1960s was all the style, a favorite of Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack.

Haven't gotten Old Paint out of the barn for some exercise, lately.

Stingy #2 is a VS Playboy in lightweight beaver, black cherry. Hard to make out in this pic, but Art did add a double row of stitching in red on the 2 1/4" brim. It's too bad this Winchester (presumably) felt isn't more widely available. Still one of my favorites.
Excellent Jared

Cool hat!

Here's more on the store it was sold from: http://berkeleyheritage.com/berkeley_landmarks/call_me_joe.html

House_of_Harris6.gazette.jpg

It lasted until at least when my dad was around because He sometimes references old Berkeley landmarks and House of Harris is one of them.
