Nice! How are you liking the hat? I've seen a few Mackeys on the Lounge and have been keeping my eye out for a used one in my size.

Under $500 delivered for a full on beaver blank. Good bit less for 1/2 beaver. But never owned a 1/2 beaver blank. So I like Mackey :D. We have at least 6 in the house between my wife and I. One of the few hat makers I still use if I am not wanting to build my own. Nice full width leather sweats, Winchester blanks. What is not to like? Tough hats at a great price. Nice folks and fast delivery (weeks at most) for a custom hat.

Going out late this afternoon to relax 'n chill out a bit at a local bar, got some Jazz playin and they do have a couple pool tables. Wife complained I was in everyday clothes and I should change, hush.... 30 secs later I've put my glasses on and a quick bash change on the hat I was wearing (Akubra Stylemaster Acorn-Fawn)-( changed from tear drop to diamond and a brim twist) and Voila!

There's a good reason they named this hat "The Stylemaster" lol, amazing how just a quick change of bash/brim and position on your dome and it changes a whole look/wardrobe.

Edit: Wow, it's surprising how mid to deep brown this hat looks in some light.

Nice looking Borsalinos, Daniele. Very well modelled and photographed. They deserve a good home. Looking forward to seeing who bags them.
Thanks Steve for the compliments and encouragement. Let's hope someone shows up for these splendid Borsalinos

Wow! Two great looking hats with my kind of proportions. I wish they were a few sizes bigger! Someone is going to be happy with these hats.
Brent when I contacted the seller I asked if there were any Borsalino models in your size because the occasion was very interesting. Those of large size, new and never wear (59 and 60 centimeters) and wide brims I took home. I'm sorry. I am always attentive to sizes over 60

I would be sending you a PM had I not just used up this year’s hat budget on my Christmas present - beaver Hornskov - one for me and one for my wife.
Maybe next time.
I hope there is a next time:rolleyes:

Here's another hat I bought two weeks ago in a pleasant sunny and autumn season.
It has been raining for two days and true autumn has arrived
Stevens 1.jpg

It is one of the Italians, made by Vanzina, disguised as an Englishman or rather a Londoner
Stevens 3.jpg

In an interval of pouring rain, I took a ride with the Stevens. Here it is on a day that has changed at least three times, more and more with the pouring rain.
Stevens 7.jpg

It is the right hat for a rainy day, medium and firm felt that stand a little rain
Stevens 4.jpg

Thanks for your likes on the yesterday Borsalino and on the model

Haven’t yet decided for today, but here is an assortment from the past several weeks.

Good to see you, Jeff. Great parade of hats.
Adam's Majestic with Randal's majestical bow treatment. View attachment 270125 View attachment 270126
Majestic is the right term. The bow is unlike anything else; very cool.

Thanks Joe. I think Portis specialized in unique ribbon treatments.

Thanks Dave. I think I may have seen one other example of that embroidered logo. I believe the hat dates to the early to mid 40s

It has to come out and play once and awhile.

That Caxton is a gem, Stefan. Can't help liking that Stetson an awful lot, too.

Thanks,
Michael
Thanks, Michael. Well, you don't have to choose; it doesn't have to be that black and white (see what I did there;)).

The Dallas you wore is a wonderful hat.
Following Michael's lead. I was sport'n a Mallory. Not a Dallas, but a Ten today for some outside chores.

Cheers, Eric -
That'll work just as well, Eric.
Wonderful work.
Stetson 7X clear beaver sold in Phoenix, Ariz. c.1950. One of the first vintage hats I purchased... it arrived smaller than sized and crispy dry from the Arizona heat. My first attempts at restoring the size were not without hardship.

What can you do? Sometimes the stars are against you. The hat still shines though.
