Two hat day. Primary's election day in my neck of the woods and went with my Gulf War hat. A bunch of American Legion brothers got together and we went and voted as a group.

Then, I went with a beautiful Borsalino. Cool day here, so it was perfect to walk the property and run some errands.

Wow! Nice fedora!! A sharp color of brown...worn very well.
Nice voting hat, as well.

I reused the cream colored one I took off the Pilgrim, except now it’s dyed brown to match the hat.
Also had to fashion a “pug”? from an old discarded liner out of a Gun Club hat that could not be revived.
The crown was pork pie style. I steamed in a c-crown.
Frankensteined, but I love it, as only a deranged creator can. :)

Very cool, sounds like it will be kept busy !! 48 x 30 shop will be awesome.
He calls it a shop, but we all know it's his auxiliary hat storage building.

That doesn't look like a beater from here, Michael
It does look nice. If it weren't for the pesky bug bore holes it is pretty mint. And I think it's a good demonstration of what a couple of bucks got you in the 40s. Could even be from one of those hat refurb shops that existed back then. No labeling on either the liner or the sweat. I guess it is also possible that it was refinished by the local store. i'll see if i can wear it downtown and ask if they did that in the past. The same family that started it is still running it, i believe.

Thanks,
Michael
