The hat and shades are a perfect pair, when I asked my missus about your fine lid she scrolled down at others, came to your cap and berated me for not wearing my own cap more often. "You're supposed to be giving me an opinion on the fedora," I reminded her. She looked again and said: "He needs to stand near a razor." I give up!
No apologies needed here, for me, shaving is a chore. There's a mole on the right side of my face, in my youth I asked my doctor if it could be removed. He told me of the risk of hormonal release, then asked why I wanted it removed. "Well, vanity really, doctor," I said. "Why don't you grow a beard," he suggested, "Because I never thought of it," I answered. So I wore a beard until the whiskers went white, then the vanity of looking like Santa outweighed the vanity of the mole. You can see today's hat here: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/how-do-folks-react-to-your-hat-wearing.73283/page-146Please offer her my most humble apologies!

I know what you mean. I have a duel tank Emglo, too, but when it comes to grabbing a compressor for the next job I always load up the cheap, light weight, compact, easily replaceable, made in Japan, annoyingly loud Porter Cable pancake tank unit!
As solvent as the Emglo may be, I’d rather save my back from being blown out hoisting a 150# Emglo into the pickup bed so I can continue marketing my irrational, aging body.
So... can you send me that compact Senco air compactor?! LOL!
J. Hückel´s Söhne "Zephyr Seal Velour" possibly mid 1930s. This hat was made for the American market. The Velour is the finest quality and in perfect condition. The Velour is difficult to photograph because it absorbs so much light.
J. Hückel´s Söhne "Seal Velour", Display Cards, 10 cm x 4 cm, possibly later 1920s.
Very nice, Tim. Seeing what you, @Randall Renshaw, and others do with these ribbons makes me feel like such a slacker.
EXCELLENT
Very nice, Tim.
nice work!
That is a very nice hat. I can see why you like it. Wonderful color and contrasting wide ribbon.
Wow, Tim! Great job on that bow!
I Like the swooping plunge!
You and I might make hatters of ourselves one day and it become possible for us to take a bow with our bows!
Just fantastic work Tim. Very impressive!
Czech made Selentino porker on a beautiful day.

I certainly didn't mean to make you feel that way Jonathan...... LOL
It's as much therapy for me as it is about the hat. I have a pretty stressful job, so working on stuff and restoring vintage items is very relaxing for me, as well as rewarding. Sometimes I feel like getting dirty and working on the Hot Rod, or Motorcycle, or Carpentry, or Landscaping, or restoring vintage Coleman Lanterns/Stoves, but other times I just feel like staying inside and working on small intricate stuff, like vintage Music Boxes, Vintage Fountain Pens, Clocks, and now the Hats. They seemed to fit right in......
A porker and you don't show us the top?
My first fur felt was a Selentino. I should wear it sometime.
