I must get me some of that Pekard stuff, Max. Not saying whether it's for my hats or face [emoji6]

Really, you didn't like Homburgs before now? Come on, dude [emoji4]

It took a while. I kept feeling like Norton in "The Honeymooners".
Besides, I enoyed teasing Stefan about it.

This morning a dog soirree in a rescued Melton fedora. I picked this hat up from a fellow that I had purchased other hats from. This one was, unfortunately had the bound brim edge cut off by the seller. Ouch! I had admired it from afar and thought it needed a hat rack to reside. The ribbon work is dandy.

This past afternoon I headed back out wearing a 30's Stetson Scoop. It is a lovely hat in a 30's style.

All stand-out hats in my book! Real eye catching with a "look at me" attitude. Nice job, gents!

Stetson Stratoliner, true blue.

Thanks. I was fortunate to have "scooped" this hat up with the box the retailer sent it home in. Luck is your friend on some hat acquisitions.

An older hat, pre-1920 and perhaps early 20th century. Old 13 Star mark that I've seen in print but don't remember seeing in another hat. Fray logo sideways, lovely silver foil store imprint, off-center reed ferule and older style scalloped size sticker are all markers of age. I've owned a couple of Stetsons from this era. The felt, likely hare, is notable for its character - thin, dense and moldable in the manner we've come to love in a post-war clear beaver quality hat but here in a hat of modest price. The Stetson standard was good stuff.

That leather is awesome.
Are you a time traveler?
Does that explain the twinkle in your eye?
