Went to see my Haberdasher this morning. He ordered in some fun "roaring 20s" suits. He thought they would just be for the various New Years Eve parties around town with the Twenties themes. Little did he know that this style would be a keeper for me. Never going to luck into a vintage one in my size, so this one really fits the bill. I wanted to see if I could pull off a gray hat with it so I wore my modern JP Stetson Whippet in Phantom Gray. A black homburg will also work well I think... Maybe a white (scary!) with a black ribbon treatment?

The last in a series of French heather hats that sleep in the same box

Flechet size 59, no other indication in this semi-finished hat

Like his brothers, he lacks the lining, but has the name of the hat house on the sweatband

The heather felt of these gray-blue hats is very similar, minimally differing the amounts of gray and blue which are the variants

Flechet has a softer felt. Morreton more consistent with very particular ribbons in both producers

Jim, the details elude me at the moment but I swear Rudolph was upright as Bodie and I stumbled through the neighborhood during the brief snow last evening. Then suddenly, he wasn't. When I got home SHE kept asking why I looked like i had been rolling in the snow and would I please stop singing Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer.
