Cold, gusty winds in my part of California today. A Coke and Reefer kind of day if ever there was such a thing. Mossant bowler (the Coke) and this 70's officer's peacoat (the Reefer).

I have not dealt with him directly, though many here have. His name is Tim and he is here @Cane Rod Maker. I now have 2 of his very nice hats, and can recommend his work highly.

Another day in St Augustine. Today it’s the Dobbs Four Seasons with guild edge. The color on this hat is kind of a caramel. The spots in some of the photos are water that splashed off the old mill wheel. Stopped by the Panama Hat Company where it got a few compliments and I got to see some of their fine Panama montecristi hats.

I put this Barbisio a few months ago in the classified, but after much interest and visualization no one came forward

I asked then, very kindly, to my favorite model to wear it for me, maybe someone will change his mind

Super Barbisio Extra Lusso size 59 or 7 3/8 US

It has been completely cleaned and refurbished in the Netherlands at Penumbra Hat

The color of the felt is "Libia" the color of the ribbon "Talpa" and the ribbon that adorns the brim is in contrast with the other colors

I also added a photo with a pale sun to show you the beauty of the color and the finished Barbisio felt with a minimal plush surface.
