Thanks, Jim. It's nice to still have a few hats in the collection that Max doesn't have tooThanks! I like that MacLachlan.

Great look for you, Perry. You pull that off effortlessly.

A brim with some attitude it seems: I like it! I like the shallow brim flange too. Nice.Nice. Not used to seeing you in a cap, Perry. You wear it well.
First Friday of Lent. So, you know, gills.

Well put together, Michael. Excellent!A nice selection Stefan. A long day of trying on different hats often wears me out too. Ha ha.
Interesting choice, Perry. I had already taken my photos of the day with my choice of a Donegal Tweed cap when I saw this one on you. Great minds, or small world, or whatever.

Hats of Ireland in Castlebar. If I've found the right history they may have been a Stetson licensee during the 1960s.

Have a great Friday,
Michael
Thanks you, Steve!Stefan, Thank you! Again a great series of hats from you. Fantastic color combos!
Have to keep an eye out for these Whippets! They're so popular they start to think they can get away with anything. I find that these special finished felts don't take well to other hats being stacked on top of them (gives me the problem that I don't know where to leave them all). Thanks Stefan!
Yes, my Whippet was on top.of it. (bad dog! ) I thought I had steamed and brushed it out. I guess I missed a spot.
Nobody does the shark gill bow quite like Barbisio. Flawless.Sunny day and temperatures starting to rise
Stra Barbisio size 60 cm. US 7 1/2
"Nairobi" color and matching pleated ribbon
Hat made in the sixties has one of the most interesting felts among those in my collection for softness and lightness
The edge of the brim is "feltrato" ie without seams or cuts, called in the USA "Cavanagh edge"
Have a nice Friday
Thanks a lot for the likes
It's a style that I have stayed away from, but you make it look good, Reggie. Love that colour.Friday Barbisio mid 70’s model I believe.
Have a great weekend!

Wonderful looking hat, Steve. Great felt and beautiful style.Wool Hat with no company mark but possibly made by "Karl Misik - O. F. Hess Husinec, Czechoslovakia" for export. My guess is this NOS hat was a pre WWII left over. The hat was part of my March 2015 Czech find.
This is the O.F. Hess Hat Box that contain this hat along with many others.
Niiiiiice! Not the original ribbon I take it?Resistol. Spring has arrived in Central California.

Thanks, Reggie. It's a winner alright: beautiful quality. All wonderful hats, Stefan but I really like the MacLachlan. It's a very handsome homburg.
Both fantastic hats, Bill.Looks good my friend. I haven’t pulled out the straw yet. I tend to hold off for 90 degrees or higher.
Yesterday was the Stetson XXX conversion.

Thanks! Haven't made it to Texas but we'd love to. Our bass player goes to Austin several times yearly. This is in Louisville KY and we're back at it tonight. [emoji445][emoji2]Strat looks good on a "workin' man" playing bluegrass! Where is the venue? Ever make it to Texas?
