Amen to that...and that hat. A favorite of mine too!A Knox 15 is nothing to scoff at; a beautiful hat to be sure.
My Knox 15 is a fedora, but a favorite nonetheless.

IIRC, your Dobbs 20 (?) is a close cousin, isn't it?Amen to that...and that hat. A favorite of mine too!
Absolutely. The unique color that changes in the light combined with that contrasting ribbon define a class all it’s own. Your’s has been an archive pic for a long time for me.IIRC, your Dobbs 20 (?) is a close cousin, isn't it?
Ay, ay, ay.... no estoy seguro si alguna vez lo voy a vender....If you ever want to sell that one, my friend, yo me apunto en la lista de espera.

Hahahaha. Cuento con ello. I mean, I would be first on it should it ever become active, right?Ay, ay, ay.... no estoy seguro si alguna vez lo voy a vender....
The first bit of Spanish I ever said at the front desk when I worked at the county Housing Authority: La lista de espera no se mueve.
Love the shape of this Optimo, and especially the contrast between the crown ribbon and brim binding.
What would you say the color is for the brim binding?
Would love to see a full shot of the crown ribbon treatment...
Por su puesto, caballero.Hahahaha. Cuento con ello. I mean, I would be first on it should it ever become active, right?

Thank you. Gorgeous! Thanks, it a nice one for sure. The brim binding seems like a light brown / orange color. Here’s another shot with better lighting:

Alan, Thanks! Unfortunately that one wasn't included.I love seeing this again... such an incredible find. Now we have to keep an eye out for the plates that lay down the red and green... 8^)
Which model and felt is that Optimo, Tonio? That’s a great one! I also selected an Optimo today.

Thanks Jeff! The band was done by Gayle Greene and the slide by her partner (and long time friend of ours) Jimmy Begay. They did work for the Hatsmith (now closed?) and O'Farrell in Santa Fe.

Bob, JD [Hatsmith] is still in Santa Fe. Mike and I visited him last June while in Santa Fe. He is back working for Milton of Montecristi Hats.
You can only wear it more in! So nice.
