Bundling up with a stiff western wool from Knudsen Hats. Had I known better at the time, it would have been fur felt, but it stands up pretty well against the wind (Eric, we are with you today at -21 F!). I will stay indoors as much as possible.

That's a great hat! I like the brim stitching with the binding, the color, and velvety texture.

This was one of the most interesting discoveries of 2018 in my search of hats

Two French black felt hats arrived from another era: the thirties

JOB Chapelier - Lezignan - Val d'Aude

The hat was made in the south of France in black felt mixed wool and fur.
The softness is fantastic even if the surface of the felt is slightly shaky

The shapes and finishes are those of the 30s. The luck of having found it, even if a little mistreated by moths, ful of dust and little bit wrinkled

I wear them to work. My workplace is inside of a 1920s era building, and we styled the atmosphere to fit that era, with some modern flair of course. here is a shot from inside the building, and one outside as well
