Boy, what enjoyable hard work catching up with all the great hats today. I'll have to get to the rest later.

It was just barely warm enough yesterday to enjoy a few minutes in the morning and at night on the deck with my Falcon Park Lawless repro.

Talk about hat porn! You add bacon to the mix and I start drooling. Nice, and thank you very much...

Have a great Sunday,
Michael
I'm not a western hat person, but I do appreciate a beauty when I see one. Great looking warm outfit.

Wearing my latest conversion project. This is a 10X Thoroughbred that I converted to a Longhair Costner'esque Open Range hat with a nicely curled brim and a Montana Pinch crease....I have more in the "Western, anyone" thread...
A better look at the longhair texture...

Beautiful Terry. That color really takes the longhair shine to a new level.

Beautiful Mallory Jim. That ribbon treatment is the best.

Today.....Call me greedy, call me a fool, but i’ll be wearing “the Twins” today.
Another Churchill 50 showed up yesterday!
Humm...go figure.
Be well all and thank you for the recent kind words as always.

Double the fun! Twin beauty and a joy to behold.

Thanks, Jeff (and everyone who liked my last couple of posts. The original Black Cherry is one of my favorite felts - I think you have a hat that uses this as well.

Today we are heading out to brunch and I’m wearing my OPS period Whippet.
Cheers!
David
Beautiful David. Great color.

At church in a light peach coloured guayabera and my NW Hats Silverbelly/Old Copper fedora. Chilly, but sunny. I love fall days like this, and the leaves are turning fiery orange hues too. Nice.

Love this one a lot Doug. I think old copper might be in my future.

Chilly this Sunday morning. I have been enjoying everyone’s posts this past week. Lots of fun!
Off to Church.

Pure class, great finish. Love this one.

Today was the Percy Jones homburg.

Great looking hats coming from you this weekend Stefan. Loved the Mayser color. This homburg is classic. I assume Percy Jones is English?

There have been some great hats worn by all who posted today. Cudos.
It was a casual Sunday for me wearing this 1960s Cervo Bantam Imperial Superfine. They call the colour "Ucraina", dark brown to you and me. It has a thick felt with short soft hair known as "Loden".
I really like this hat, particularly the ribbon and bow. To think, I nearly passed up on it.
Have a happy hat week everyone.

Wonderful deep brown on this one. Looks like quite substantial felt.

Thank you Mike. Can't say that I'm exactly happy with it, myself. I'm still undecided on what to do with this one. I detest the color, actually.

Little sins began in late summer with a French temptation. I thought I had sinned enough to be immune, but it did not

The hat is finished, in contrast to some others of the same purchase, the ribbon was wrinkled enough to have still signs

It is new, without lining, but with the brand as a tip. Medium-consistency and very malleable felt.

Good Monday morning all! Getting a good start to the week, I hope, with this Stetson Royal Deluxe heathered two-tone. You know what the best part of this hat is? You'd think it's the high quality, malleable, heathered felt.

But, no. Is it that classic blocking and the apparent ability of it to make you look like you've already had 7 cups of coffee?

Nah! Maybe it's the classic RD liner logo?

Nope. The best part about finding, scoring, owning, and wearing this hat?

Wonderful hat and pics! What cigar is that? Looks like a maduro wrapper in the low light.

Fantastic hat.

Dimensions, please? Brim? Front pinch height as you have it? What top crease?

Thanks guys! The cigar is Nicaraguan with an Oscuro wrapper, hand rolled by a guy in the back of the Old Oaks Cigar &Wine shop in my hometown of Thousand Oaks, CA. Best cigar I've ever had by head and shoulders, and I always make a point to buy a handful of those whenever I visit.

The specs of the Falcon Park, as close as I can measure, are as follows: front pinch is 4 1/2", back of the crown is 4 5/8, with a healthy 5" elevation near the middle. Ribbon is 2 inches wide. The brim is 2 7/8" with 1/2" matching binding. The crease is basically a teardrop but I've made a point to really squeeze the pinch "carelessly."

It's not a small hat-- not for the weak hearted!

I actually visited the shop about ten years ago and it is still there in Norfolk Va. today. During the late 80's through the early 00's, Biltmore was the big brand sold in many of the hat shops in Philadelphia and many other east coast cities all the way down through Virginia. Biltmore was known for their Milan, beaver finish and velour hats. Stark and Legum had a big mail-order business and was one of the few that catered to folks that wanted dress felt and straw hats, so they have a lot of Biltmore hats floating around out there.
Ah, I didn't know they had a mail order business.

I'm not a western hat person, but I do appreciate a beauty when I see one. Great looking warm outfit.
Thanks Red. The outfit served me well on a windy coffee resupply mission. Ha ha. Loved your church 'burg. That has to be one of the finest colors I've ever seen in a hat.

Thanks,
Michael
