We drove down to Salem this morning. Ran some errands then had sushi for lunch. Yummers.

It was cool in the a.m but now it's muggy so time for a hat change over if we go out again.

Falcon Park rabbit in Silverbelly for me and an Ortega "Ben Affleck" hat from Cuenca for me misses. Mike @Redfokker has one of these but his has natural and black straw while Sandra's has natural and violet straw.

Yeah, but he's come full circle. Now he's an old goat, working on a hat collection that just may be the G.O.A.T.

Forecast called for rain so I figured it was the perfect opportunity to test out my latest addition, the Akubra Cockatoo 1035:

So far have had about two sprinkles. The Cockatoo was not impressed.

Put the "Wormer" away and snagged the San Antonio for my annual pilgrimage to the Great Darke County Fair. Fried goodies, parimutuel racing, and assorted Midwest goodness.

And now I've got a line on where to get a new Dalton.

I think moe has a Dalton in about this color.

Today, I found myself drawn to this very modern, no vintage at all, 2008, Super Barbisio Extra Lusso. Yes, the superlatives abound [emoji4].

It is, though, a very comfortable hat to wear. The semi long haired petting felt is soft and velvety to the touch. It was one of the reasons I bought it from Daniele a couple of years back; along with its delightful early morning sky blue colour.

Today....it’s the maiden voyage of the VS Black Cherry that i recently took caretaker-ship of. I have to give a grateful thank you to Harry, @Ordinary Guy, for his generosity in passing on such an impeccable hat in every way. The color is hard to capture but fun to try. A classic Art hat i will cherish along side of my best.

Heading to the farmers market in a circa 40's Supernatural this morning. Such a comfy hat, quickly becoming a favorite. It arrived last month in excellent condition but had some quirky off center bends in the crown and brim. For a brief moment I thought it needed some reblocking. But when i put it on i fell in love with those small imperfections as it made the hat just that much more special to me. Channeling my inner Hemingway in a Hawaiian shirt. lol.
