It's been a very busy week, so no time for the lounge unfortunately. Sorry about that, guys! And with all the wonderful hats on display too.
I did take some snaps though.

Stefan, as usual, a wonderful array of hats, ties, shirts, jackets, and pocket squares, not to mention that wonderful leather bag. Love them all. You wear them all in such style. I doff my [emoji145] to you, sir.

In awe again, Alan. Absolutely wonderful. Where do you find them?

Thanks Steve. I bought them over a bunch of years during the past decade, most from eBay. They were mostly very inexpensive, with a couple of exceptions. I have about fifteen, I think, trying to keep a good range of variation in straw, weave and ribbon, as the form is obviously very similar from one to the other. I enjoy wearing them.

What beautiful straw. Any idea what it is made out of, what kind of weave it is, and where it was woven?

This one is a later example - the image of a "boater" as most imagine it, I think. It's constructed from a coil of plaited flattened straw, but the type of straw and where it might have been constructed I'm not sure.

I had Pandanus hat plaited in the South Pacific that has a similar pattern.

Greetings All:
Today....fresh out of the box comes my second Matt Deckard prototype all beaver hat from 2014, i believe. My other from him is a black wide ribbon Premier Stratoliner also from 2014. These were the hats that brought Stetson hat quality back to it’s roots, quality wise, for a period of time while Matt was Head Designer for Stetson hats. Having two of his Prototypes pretty much satisfies my desire for modern hats in general. He did well, sorry he’s no longer their guide.
Be well. Bowen
Ps: the Premier wins the felt feel. IMHO.
Bowen, very fine Stetson prototypes!

Thats a beauty! Where and how do you find a hat body like that? I'd love to have Mike make one like that for me. Also, really nice closeup photography.
On the ground in Cuenca, Ecuador, hitting lots of shops. I'll try and locate more hats and hat bodies next time we head over. Last trip we only bought 3 hats and kept all but one of them for ourselves...

Photo was just an old cell phone pic.

For me, that’s simply too hot to be comfortable. Are you enjoying, or complaining about it?

Great milan!!
Can you ever wear felt?
I live up on a bluff on the windward side of the island about a mile from the coast. The prevailing NE trade winds usually cool things off nicely. it has been pretty hot with only a little wind out of the South recently. In any case I just jump in the ocean to cool off.
