Nice looking summer lid. Did they polyurathane it? They do some, making it pretty impossible to repair crush damage to the crown. I think it's mainly their pre-creased hats that get it. The crease to order from open don't.

It ain't so, H&R.
I’m a 71/8-1/4. That hat is a 7 but fits a little snug. Vintage hat sizes can be all over the place. I’ve had 67/8 fit snug and up to 73/8 fit a little loose. Those all were exceptions. Sometimes i feel size tags are just a reference.

This store had five locations at one point, from 1936-1986.

I like being from Chicago. The summer humidity gets as bad as the winter cold.
I miss the Beefs though. Sweet and hot, wet, but you shouldn't have to ask. I like to land at Midway for that reason. Ten minutes from baggage claim to beef.
