Greetings All:
Today....back to Homburgs after a few days of regulars. This one is one of the most comfortable hats i own and 1 of 2 by this brand. The other one rates up there in comfort as well.
A bit of an odd ball brand for a Homburg but the felt of both are quite irResistolble.
The detail of the embroidered liner tip is unbelievable!
Be well. Bowen

Nice Resistol Homburg, Bowen. They suit you, even though you think they don't. Rock 'em buddy.

Your homburgs are of equally high quality as your other hats, Bowen. Another fine specimen and indeed not a brand I'd associate with homburg hats straight away. By the looks of it they did make a fine one however.

I’d love to see that embroidery, looks fantastic. You wear these hats well. Good to see there’s some truth in advertising with “The Most Comfortable Hat Made.”

It did take some work to steam and iron out the rumples from sixty years in a coffin.

I have purchased a number of Borsalino hats the traveled from Italy in these boxes. Happy to send you one, though it might be costly to mail to Denmark. Though I suspect you would probably prefer to have a box with a hat inside it. ;^)
You reminded me I haven't worn or posted my new-to-me Willoughby Tuxedo Hat, Alan.
It also came on a coffin. The box seems really large.

It too was very rumpled, but Ignacio spiffed it up for me. I doubt it was ever even worn. It was absolutely clean. Very, very black. I had to take some inside pics so that some of its shape can be seen. The felt is very soft. Magnificent!

There is an interesting paper label on the bottom of the box.
What do you think, Alan, Steur, Steve(s), Alex, everyone?

I suspect you are the only one with one of those Max. I watched that one a good while and would not let myself go for it. Glad you got it!

Super tuxedo hat, Max. I have a Borsalino one. The brim ought to be shaped like a fedora.

The paper label is so Art Deco 30s looking.

The Willoughby stamp on the box looks very Lock &-Co.

Just my two pennies worth.

Max, can you transcribe the hand written text on the label at the bottom of the box? Monsiuer "Brittles", Hotel Ritz - smoking - it's hard to define on the photo.

I can't really make it out myself, Steve. You Europeans are polyglots. A mystery and a marvel to me you can speak so many dissimilar languages and learn them so quickly.
I've had several European patients that learn Mexican Spanish (the clearest and most beautiful IM not-so-HO) almost perfectly within six months.[emoji2]
Besides, I don't like French.
