AKA: What Hat Was I Wearing....

In my 1st post last week I mentioned I had stayed in the shadows following the Lounge for a few years. I joined little over a year ago so I could buy some fedoras from the classifieds. But about that same time most of the fedoras in the world started disappearing to a sanctuary in Mexico City. I did take a few pics during that time thinking I’d try posting but couldn’t get myself to do it. (Don’t do any type of social media) so here’s a few of those. One of my very 1st hats ever at about 16..it was my Friday night go to town Stetson at the time. 7 1/8 which I outgrew so as dumb kid I pulled the sweat out and lost the liner which I’ve since replaced.

Bailey also from my teenage rodeo years from Mikes Western Store in Phoenix.(early 70s). It’s just a stroke of luck I still have them. My boys only liked black hats back then so those they did swipe them from me.

Thanks for everyone's well wishes. My biggest problem is not getting a good night's sleep since the middle of February. The color of that Mallory is superb. I miss looking at fine hats...

I'll say! I have 5 plus 1 grandson. They all used to live close by but no longer. They are the reason I gave up my old flip phone & went to a smart phone...they were texting me faster than I could reply on a flip phone without a keyboard!
What is this smart phone that you speak of? Is my 1994 Alcatel, that has no wires, not smart enough?

Goodness me, whatever next? Perhaps they might even have removed all the wires from the landline phones. What would they want to do that for?

In case you think that I'm telling a tall story, our home phone appliance was issued to us at our first home in May 1968, it's still going strong. The Cellphone I bought in 1994. When technology changed from analogue to digital, my smart ass Godson put some piece of electronic wizardry in it, and lo & behold, it worked fine, still does.
But then what would you expect of someone who drives an old MG?
