Greetings All:
Today…having had a Lounge spiritual re-awakening and drinking some of the Lounge Kool Aid i thought a go to hat was appropriate.
A pretty old Nutria Quality Western that has always been there for me.
Hard to capture the dark chocolate hue. It sports one of my all time favorite embroidered liners with The Horsey Man.
I love all those old Stetson embroidering days.

Richman Brothers “Brighton” — Goodwill special. Can't find anything about this model name.

I’m swinging back around a little bit on these stingy brims.

I’m thinking late ’50s to early ’60s for this one.

Richman Brothers was a major Cleveland menswear company, with around 120 retail locations by the 1950s. The company was sold to Woolworth in 1969 and eventually faded into history in the early ’90s.

I’m not sure which manufacturer actually made this hat for Richman Brothers, but it’s a nice fur felt—not one of the later wool examples.

Just arrived. A nice, black number from Henri Henri of Montreal. 4 3/4" slightly tapered, center dent crown, dimensioned brim 2 3/4" front and back with sewn edge. The felt is fairly thin, reminds me a little of Stetson "Royal" felt. Black leather sweat and black liner. Inside tag says Made in Germany. Anybody know what German maker does hats for Henri? All in all, a nice, simple black fedora and I'm happy with it.

I believe Mayser does their German made hats. Nice looking.

Stetson - Mayser "3X Beaver Quality", Date Stamped 12/27/58. Mayser started licensing and making Stetsons in 1954. The Side Dent type plus location were popular in the time period. The Band / Bow color (can't describe it) works great with the Felt color and Binding color. Overall quality + plus workmanship are of fantastic. I found this Homburg Hat back in 2009.

Stetson Size Tag with 58 cm Metric Size.
That is just magnificent! You can tell Mayser gave it their best shot. And their best shot was up there with the very best of them.
